Fuel line magnets, claims to "straighten out" the magnetic particles in gasoline for smoother flow through the engine, increasing fuel economy.
Electric superchargers (the old kind where you stick it in your intake piping and wire it to the battery) promising 1psi of boost... they actually hurt performance by being an intake restriction.
Remember the little plastic wings you would mount to your windshield wipers? They were supposed to create downforce so the wipers worked better at high speed.
I take vanes to create a tornado effect. Fuel Doctor you plug into your outlet to condition the electricity to improve your fuel economy.
About the only things that actually worked wasn't worth the cost and that was these cones or fins you attack to the rear roof of a car. It actually didn't work but it's cost wasn't worth the fuel savings nor the way it made your car look.
The thing that was supposed to produce "positively charged ions " that would make you feel "better ". It plugged into the ciggy lighter outlet.
The engine water injector. It was supposed to "fool the engine into thinking it had more horsepower ".
The black light "ignition spark leak detector " that was supposed to find hairline cracks in the ignition wiring set or the distributor cap. The better way.......wait until it is dark out, start the engine, and spray ordinary water on the wires, and look for arc jumps.
The traction mat. Buy a set of 4 snow tires.
The driver's seat massage thingy. Also the wooden bead seat cover.
K & N air filters. The notion that modern automotive engineers who are capable of mind boggling variable valve timing design etc., for fuel efficiency, ultra-low emissions and horsepower would then compromise their efforts with an air filter that had significant restriction is absurd.
I had one of them in an old small single axle truck with a leather seat, no air. It was far better than the leather especially in the summer when you were sitting it in 8 to 10 hours a day.

The K&N design has been proven to flow more CFM vs. paper.
The auto manufacturers are dumping millions into fuel economy to meet CAFE standards, and it takes hundreds of dollars of technology (and YOU pay for it) to get the mileage cars get today. Pretty sure you're not going to ever see a magic device with $0.50 worth of parts, stretch that mileage further.
