Maybe 15 years ago, my mom leased a Mazda Millenia for 2 years. Is the 6 a descendant of the Millenia? I loved the Millenia (back when it had a 6 CD changer in the trunk, lol.)

Anyway, I agree, great looking car. Before I got my 188k mile Accord's AC fixed for much lower than the initial $1300 quote), I was considering getting a new car this summer, and if I went the sedan route, instead of compact SUV, the 6 would have been one of the front runners. It probably still will be next year.
and you can get the base model 6 with a 6 speed for about $22k. pretty sweet deal.

Budget is a factor for the vast majority of all people.
4 cylinder engine slow as hell but good on gas

Mazda needs to step up the power output. That car looks too good and not to be at least 220hp. I've owned both 1st gen Mazda 6 and 2nd gen and I can honestly say I prob will not get a 3rd gen for this reason. Cars today are way too heavy to be having put-put motors with 150hp.

I keep cars for years and look after them well so they do last a long time. Early last year my elderly car started letting me down so I went car shopping. After checking them all I came to the conclusion that they all look alike. The Mazda six was nice, if a bit underpowered. Options were few and the dealer lied when he told me it was against the law to turn the daytime running lights off. Especially unforgivable when I told him they were already turned off at the factory. So I finally found a vehicle that didn't look like all the rest and had a two page list of options that caught my fancy.
I am enjoying my heavily optioned GMC full size SUV which does indeed look like many other SUVs but since there aren't all that many, I can go days without seeing a look alike.
The car makers should really make it so a person can tell one brand/model from another. Brand loyalty would benefit from this.

Not this old trope again. Cars of each era have ALWAYS looked like other cars of their era and category. Whichever decade you're interested in, you find it easy to tell them apart by their trim/grille/lighting differences. And decades you are NOT interested in, they all look alike to you. I can tell modern cars apart at a glance as easy as those from the '50s or '60s. For the same exact reasons. Do we want me to post the 1939 on wheels poster one more time to prove it?

The new 6 comes with 184Hp while it isn't fast as a Camry or an Accord in a straight line hit the turns & watch it leave both of them behind. Handling is more German like then the Toyota/Honda's are.

Overall I agree it would be nice to see them come out with something around 250hp take advantage of that sweet suspension.

I hope you mean the Acadia as opposed to the Yukon as far as looks go (thread topic). Either way, there are like a BILLION of them out there and the new Yukon/Tahoe/Suburban is one ugly square box/hearse imo. "heavily optioned"...emphasis on heavy. those things are tanks. very tough and durable, but to weighty for me. they do come with deluxe options, but man....those purchase prices are steep.

It's 184hp and all the more reason to go with the 6 speed and keep that tach rocking up toward the redline.

It feels more like a V6 than a four. The gearing in the 6-speed (either manual or automatic) and light weight of the car compared to other mid-sized cars still makes it pretty peppy. Like I said above I have no complaints going from my supercharged V6 Bonneville (240 HP/280 TQ) to the Mazda 6's 2.5L I-4 with 184 HP/185 TQ. HP and TQ #s don't mean everything.
