Virginia Beach, VA to Port Hueneme, CA. Solo in 1997. Was a fun great trip.
I was born in Oxnard at the old Saint Johns Hospital, My dad worked at the CB base. He was stationed in San Diego on a Destroyer but while on shore leave spent his time on the CB base working on weapon systems at NYMISIS (Not sure I spelled that right.). I grew up three blocks away from the base.
Longest trip I took was in a truck when I was a kid. My parents had a Ford F250 with a camper and we left Port Hueneme for a trip to Chicago when I was a kid. Then went back home.
As a teen and adult the most I ever drove was from Oxnard California to Salt Lake City Utah. I prefer to fly.
