As fast as I've been in the car (about 90 mph lol) I will say it handles extremely well. It's still a 4000+ lb boat at any rate but is plenty quick enough for me... 5.3 is my fastest 0-60 and I spun the tires. I'm in the 5.7L...
Why don't they line up one of the top of the line Corvette's and have at it? The Vette would blow the BMW's doors off and then get 30 mpg on the drive home.
General Motors or Ford can produce a better car any time they want than Germany. They would build it for much less and it would be better in every way.
The only reason they don't is because it's not the market they want.
But the GT350 and GT350R are competing with the M3/M4, which are considerably more expensive.
Well, the M3/M4 msrp's are not that vastly different (compared to 350R), but with options (e.g. 8k M brakes), yeah it can get out of control.
In a way M2 is reasonably priced (not that I'm in the market to buy it) considering the performance level and the included standard equipment. Whoever is thinking about M4 might like the smaller/cheaper/more nimble package. Besides the claim is, that they finally sorted out the steering.
LOL, I've seen some video of Corvette drivers losing it just playing around. They are smart enough to disable the smart track systems but not smart enough to keep the car on the road.

Well, there is no market for an expensive American sports car / supercar, unless the name is Ford GT.
UK:
BMW M2 (manual): £44,070
BMW M4 (manual): £57,065
Corvette Stingray: £62,450

Not that comparing these two cars would make much sense anyway.
Nice ride just not my cup of tea. If I were on the market for a muscle car though, I'd have to go with the Camaro. In my opinion its the best looking of the 3. I'd take a Camaro SS.
Thanks... although I have to disagree about the Camaro.
I'd be more inclined to agree if they had made the current version more in line with the late 80's early 90's version... I had a '94. Not sure what they were thinking with the current model... an oversized box on wheels with horrid blind spots is how I refer to the current Camaro.

Learn how to handle that car better Nancy!
Is it? According to this 5.1 is a solid time for the RT...
So I'm .2 seconds off LOL... I never said I was a pro driver. I'm gonna try to improve though! I am in the new 8 speed automatic so I SHOULD be able to do better than that 5.1 time in a 6 speed... LOL
Looks like you're right! Haha
