My husband says that all the time. He says if there are a bunch of cars you need to keep with the pace of the other cars and if all of them are speeding, you just keep pace with everyone else. But not at the back of the pack, because then you may get pulled over.

His rule of thumb is you can go 7 mph over the speed limit without getting pulled over. I don't know where he gets that, but it seems to work.

I missed it because it wasn't there, but, okay. Got better things to do.

Only if the driver who just knows he owns the road and everyone no matter what speed they are driving should get out of his way decides to do something stupid. Otherwise, if he just takes a chill pill and slows the heck down there's no problem.

It's the addiction to speed that's the real cause of accidents. Not necessarily speed itself, but the inability to control oneself and fall into a rage and start driving recklessly (and then blaming one's own behavior on someone else) when confronted with having to slow down.

Just stop. It's getting sad at this point. You've said nothing that makes any sense or is in any way correct.

Only because you don't like the law (or common sense, or other drivers, or probably anything else) when it gets in your way.

I really don't know how else to get you to comprehend what any of us are trying to tell you......

If you want to follow the law to the letter, there is nothing wrong with that. You are free to do so. BUT... part of the law states that you will yield to overtaking traffic. If you are following the speed limit and someone wants to overtake you, you do not get to play road warrior and block traffic. If you are impeding traffic regardless of their speed, YOU are also breaking the law.

If they choose to speed and overtake you, the law doesn't say you don't have to yield the lane because they are speeding. It says move over. Those people who are speeding are taking the risk of breaking the law. If the normal flow of traffic is 80mph in a 70mph zone, the officers will then make the decision if they choose to pull over those vehicles or not. That is THEIR call, not yours.

The only person you can make follow the law is yourself. You do not have the responsibility nor the authority to enforce any laws unless you are a Law Enforcement Officer within your jurisdiction. If you want to talk common sense, fine. If the flow of traffic is 80mph and you are driving slower in a passing lane common sense should say to move and not create more danger by causing someone to have to slam on brakes or weave around in traffic to pass you. Common sense should also say that it is safer for you to move and let that person pass than to continue to block them and risk road rage, a collision, or any number of other dangerous situations.

Refusing to move and thinking that others should follow your mindset is very passive aggressive behavior.
