Ha ha, nah they'd go ahead and use H-150 at that point.

The trim levels would HL, HLT, Lasso, and Daegwanryeong Yangtte Ranch (Yang Ranch for short).

Agreed. It really does look very nice, regardless of whether it's copying another manufacturer.

That said, who buys this?

Won't consider this car and I am looking. Too many other nameplates out there.

While I did not drive the Cadenza, I can say that out of all the vehicles I drove while shopping for a new SUV, the Kia Sorento was head and shoulders above the other vehicles, with the exception of the BMW X3. Solid build, drives like a car half its weight, super comfortable, the 3.3 V6 sounds and pulls great, and at a lower price point than most other competitors. Kia is not what they used to be 10 years ago, or even 5 years ago.

My point being, if you dismiss Kia just because of their name and past reputation, you are missing out on a really good car for a really good price. And if your friends judge you by the car you drive, you need new friends.

Seems like they make nice cars. Just not that interested in their wheels. Hard to overcome that name. Been seeing KIA - killed in action.

Folks on the auto forum tend to be older and rural leaning. Emerging automakers like Kia frighten then because it's still fairly new when compared to other brands. Time will tell.

I'm looking to buy a Kia.

We should get over who is copying who. Everybody is and that's not a crime. The rear lights on just about all cars share similar outlines. This just says people like them and manufacturers oblige. before long, you forgot who started it. Boht Kia and Hyundai have fabulous looking models. The problem is that is not enough, for now at least. People who pay $50K plus are doing so for brand. Nobody is going t ask whose Cadenza is that in the parking lot.

I just starting to notice more American cars taking BMW, Audi, Benz design outlines in 2014 models and up.
