I would like to see trucks where drivers are able to flow with traffic so that probably requires a speed of 70 in passing situations. You cannot blame drivers for blocking traffic flow if they have equipment that is not capable of doing the job.

Yeah, a blanket limit like this on any typical interstate is asking for trouble. Now we will have 500 cars behind the guy passing one truck for 22 miles gaining an inch a minute.

Plus, don't think cars won't be next.

That's the behavior a lot of people want to see outlawed because it's obstructive, dangerous, and just plain rude. I would prefer to see verbiage passed (with strict enforcement) that's something along the lines of:

"All Trucks. All trailers. Right Lane Only. NO PASSING".

Minimum fine for violators $1000. And driver must pay. That would be considered a moving violation, so it couldn't be passed onto the company like a broken tail light.

And no. Just because the store has Cheerios on the shelf is NOT a license for truckers to act like pompous, boorish jerks.

So what does the trucker do when he gets behind a vehicle struggling with hills doing 45 - 55 in an area where 60 - 65 is the norm? Create a long string of trucks impeding traffic?

Clearly there is an abundance of traffic and incompetent drivers but trying to fix that by reducing the ability for some drivers to use personal judgement on the road will create new problems.

yea like how 18 wheelers wait until the last second and cut off 4 wheelers when they had plenty of time to move over before cutting that person off. yea that never happens.
