Not sure what the price is for an M3 but when I had 41K miles my car and checked on extension. The quote I got for extending 2 year and up from 48K to 100K was.

MSRP: $2,395
Cost: $1,895

Yes, I made all those points and then he came back later to say that actually been one year and his original post was wrong.

there are diff. levels of maint prices for the extension.....I believe the most comprehensive one they call it is platinum level. Its very possible you got quoted $1895 or $2395....I am absolutely sure there is a 5-6 grand one there as well many years ago

It's most likely not an Audi. They do have a 5K first service (which my dealer covered for free), but then it goes up to a 10K service/oil interval after that. I prepaid for all my services, but a full-synthetic oil/filter/fluid visit runs like $120/130 on my Q7 if you feel like doing it more frequently than that 10K period.

It might have been the extended warranty (I think there s "platinum" level there). Confusingly, they seem to call it service contract or something now. What used to be extended maintenance (only one coverage but for different number of years) nowadays is "ultimate care+"..

Forgot the exact level but price was quoted by a member of the car forum who was advertising extended maintenance. Wasn't not just a random number. I was based on my VIN. Yes.. probably different pricing based on car as well. Mine is just a mid line car. Nothing special.
