transmission cooler for the 2005 grand cherokee? (AWD, towing, Jeep, transmissions)

Hey all, so since I am going on the trails with my jeep I had a mechanic recommend me this

says it goes in front of the radiator and cools my transmission...not sure how this works....any thoughts?

Cars with automatic transmissions cool the fluid by running it through the bottom of the radiator. For extreme duty such as towing or off road an auxiliary cooler is recommended. My Ranger, for example, has the trailer tow package, and it included a small additional radiator in front of the regular one from the factory. Your link can't be right, that's an AC condenser and would not help your transmission.
