rent or borrow something along the lines of an f250. I doubt you'd find one of these in the hudson valley but I say drive one and get it out of your system.

Make sure to climb into it wearing a skirt and use up the whole tank before filling it so you understand how much of your paycheck it will take to fill it up when gas prices go back up to $3/gal and upwards (when, NOT IF).

I would get a smaller pickup and lift that. I think the 250s are normally used for towing stuff, aren't they?

I'm guessing putnam or orange county?

my crush is a Cobra kit car, but a 2016 mustang will suffice. A miata hard top convertible would also be nice.

Nothing new today would I call a car crush. Closest to a car crush for me is a 1967 Mustang restomod with four wheel disc power brakes, fully independent suspension, modern Mustang V6 (iM not a fast driver and this 6 is plenty quick enough for me), and rims that look factory original but are actually 17" reproductions.

Several modern cars would be a nightmare for me including Mitsubishi Mirage, Smart Car, and Chevy Spark.

Car Crush:a brand new Honda Accord Touring Hybrid, given my 400 mile/week commute.

Nightmare:taking the bus. Ugh, I hate buses. I had to take the bus 20 miles/week for six months (Aug. 27, 2015 - Feb. 19, 2016). I hated it. Here's two of the worst rides listed below. And that's not even getting to the lack of seat belts, which made me very nervous. I also felt very jealous of the people in cars.

Sept. 18, 2015: One time I tried to strike up a conversation on the bus, it was 8 am and everyone had their headphones in. The bus driver yelled "QUIET DOWN!"

Dec. 1, 2015: I hated this bus ride for a different reason, the people on the bus were being very loud. Also a Corolla pulled out in front of the bus and it had to slam on the brakes.

On a 0-100 scale, 100 being the crush and 0 being the nightmare:

100: brand new Honda Accord Touring
99: my current 2011 Honda Accord EX-L V6 w/nav
95: the average car
91: a 1990s beater compact car
82: the back seat of a very dirty 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by a 19 year old lead foot (this is what I had to do to avoid the bus one day)
50: the best bus ride
25: the average bus ride
0: the worst bus ride

Car crush: Any car that handles and brakes well with enough power so I can avoid as many texting idiots on the road as I can.

Car nightmare: Any truck or SUV that can't brake or handle well to avoid all the idiots.

I prefer avoiding than crashing into everything with some big moronic vehicle. Right now I am driving a high performance European sports sedan. Love it. Might switch to a Porsche next time. Hard to wreck cars that I choose. Head on? Ha, I can swerve on a dime. You can keep your pretend safe SUV's that flip over and plow into everything. They are horrible at everything except towing and hauling payload. No use for them for me since I don't tow or haul things and if I did, I would rent a truck and enjoy returning it as soon as possible. Yeah, I am a real driver and no real driver would drive an SUV or truck.

Car crush, currently: new Aston Martin Vanquish Volante. Just an absolutely gorgeous car. Runner up? '63 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso. Also one of the most gorgeous cars ever made.

Car nightmares? Camrys and newer Accords. Dull, boring appliances.
