I have a key chain with lick, unlock and panic. I swear I started truckit. Can't remember combination I used. help me out my family isn't believing me. I turned it off by tapping the Break
I worked with a long-time car salesman who once was able to sell someone a hardtop that they thought was a convertible. Maybe he's working in your area now.
Everything I can find says you have to have a fob with the remote start button on it. Since you say you pushed the brake pedal and it stopped, are you sure youre not confusing the high idle feature for remote start.
For GMC/Chevy, your fob looks like the one pictured below.
Hit the lock button twice then press and hold (for 4-5 seconds) the top button with the half-circle.
If that does it, the truck will start and run for 10 minutes. Pressing any key during that time should give it another 10 minutes for a maximum of 20 minutes.
It could be an aftermarket unit that is programmed to work with the factory FOB. If it is, the combination is usually something to the effect of long pressing the lock button 2-3 times, or a quick 2-3 times. It's usually the lock button though. I've had a DEI and a Viper unit and both worked with the factory key fob.
John, high idle is a diesel function, not a gas burner function. Tapping the brake doesn't shut the engine down, it just returns the engine to a normal idle.

Well, duh! I guess I saw 450 not 150. Need to get my eyes rechecked!!!
