Hello all.. I may need some assistance with this issue I have with my car. I have a 2013 acura tsx only 42k miles on it and recently when I have been driving for about 20 mins in my car i smell a burning smell inside my car. At first i thought it was my heater because i smell it strongly when i turned my heater on but i smell it faintly when it is off.. I park my car and once i step out, I smell a burning smell from the rear of my car from exhaust. Smells like a burnt match or rubber kind of..
anyone have a clue to what this could be? any help is appreciated..thanks

At least crawl under and look for a foreign object. It seems like that would still be on warranty, if nothing obvious, I would then take it in to the dealer and have them look into it.
seems like the smell was not coming from my exhaust but something under the hood.. i recently jus changed an ventilation filter can that be it since its new?

No, that's just fresh cool air going through it. Burning smells under the hood are usually caused by an oil leak hitting the hot exhaust. Check your oil level, and look for drips where you park it. Could also be an overheating wire, that could be dangerous.

Usually that's a sign your catalytic converter is melting inside. It sometimes has a sulphur or rotten egg smell. Do you have a check engine light on? Your car could be running rich and it's jacking up the converter.
Should be under warranty if it's a emission component as those have a 70/80k 7/8 year coverage
update : got my car on a lift and the culprit was a damn plastic bag stuck all the way up in there .... smh
