Yes Jim, they are nice cars. My uncle had a 240Z and when I was 7 or 8 it was one of the first cars I fell in love with.

For the color challenged, what’s its color?

The owner is also apostrophe challenged.

It's not a pink car, its color is more lavender or purple of some sort. Yes, the owner might be color challenged, but it's no surprise that a big chunk of the native English language population of the USA doesn't know that the contraction of "it is" is written as it's, and the possessive or ownership form for "it" becomes its.

Of course you can’t get an apostrophe on your plate from the DMV, but if it were me I’d put a yellow sticker apostrophe on it.

On the freeway today I passed a 2000 Mercedes-Benz CL55 AMG. That car is nearing 25 years old and it was very clean and straight. It looked great. It was black, not pink.

Yesterday 2/26 (Houston metro)....

- A red Toyota ECHO four door sedan, and then, about 30 minutes later, a white Toyota ECHO four door sedan. I don't know if I'd ever seen two in the same day before. Usually when I see one, it is very well cared for. Both of these had intact bodies with no dents. The white one was pristine, but the paint job on the red one was thrashed. I think the owner of the red one might have been the original owner....that ECHO had the most faded old (what I call 'the cowboy and the moon' design) Texas license plate I think I've ever seen.

- A Suzuki SX4 sedan

- An Acura TSX sedan with a license plate I've never seen before....a Misssissippi active reserve license plate.....styled just like the Active Reserve option in this link.....https://www.dor.ms.gov/tagstitles/av...-license-plate

The Land Rover Defender 110 Trophy Edition starts at $103,000 MSRP. Some manufacturers’ special editions have subtle markings, and others not so much.

Yesterday I saw four individual Rivians and today I saw my first Tesla Cybertruck. Fun times in my neighborhood! The Rivians aren't that strange looking but that Cybertruck is an attention-getter. I would be so uncomfortable in one of those, not that it's going to happen, but it looks so claustrophobic that I'd be itching to get out of it. To each their own.

A nice green Datsun 280Z 2+2, maybe a 1975 or 1976. Datsun manufactured the 280Z from 1975-1978 to replace the beautiful 240Z, and its brief successor the 260Z. For the US market Datsun manufactured the 240Z 1969-1973, and then the 260Z for only 1974.

My uncle had a white 1970 240Z with 5-speed manual and a manual choke lever. My parents drove Buicks, and my uncle’s Z was a beauty. Elegantly styled, with simple but effective lines. It’s probably the first car I ever loved. I’m the oldest of 5 siblings all close in age and our house was a little crowded, so going for a ride with my uncle in his small 2 seater was a treat of exclusive attention in a beautiful car. And I had no idea why there would be a lever next to the stick shift labeled CHOKE. I know I asked him and he told me, but I was 9 and clueless. It wasn’t until 16 years later when I was riding my first motorcycle that I learned what the choke lever did. I get it now. Today with EFI, we don’t even think about it.

The other 2 pics are off of the web and are beautiful 240Zs. Over the years as the Z got bigger and longer, it lost its crisp lines.

C’mon people, it’s not a family car. It’s a SPORTS car!

You want a family car? Drive a Buick. Don’t change my Z.

A Chevy V8 fits nicely in a 240 Z and drives nice, I had one. The rear axle is strong enough for a street engine
