They do stuff a 4.0 V8 with 603hp into that 2017 E class called E63. What Lexus model can I buy with 600hp? Porsche base models are turbo 4 cylinders now too.
Lol, what do you need 600hp for? The AMGs are sexy cars, I'll admit, but for 100k+...just buy a Hellcat and a ES350 instead
The thread title says E class vs C Class then wtf are we talking Lexus for? Op never even commented on the subject but compared the c class to a Lexus ES.

Just checked and saw that the 2017 E class comes only with a 4 cylinder. Yeah a 4 banger which by all accounts seems to be the same 4 in the C. MB has lost its mind.
C-class is not entry level. They have the CLA for that, which is even less impressive.
To me, C class was always entry level to me. I can remember when it was 190E which looked like sub compact car. The CLA is budget car to me. People can label whatever they want. If they are happy and satisfied, that is what is important.
Seems to have worked. Last I heard they are selling like hot cakes, same with Audi A3
