I'm considering buying a used Mercedes-Benz (2015-2016) something with low miles, probably a C250 or 300. I'm also swayed by a the thought of just getting a brand new car in a similar price range, i.e. a Chevy Impala. The pros of the Chevy seem obvious, American-made, cheaper parts/labor, brand new car. Still, everyone I speak with leans towards a lightly German Cars.

Hoping I can get some input, is a "lightly" used Benz worth it or should I go for something completely new?
I know it's an older post, but if you have an independent German car mechanic in your area, go with the Benz.

You are better off buying a Camry instead of a C250 and 300. If you are only interested in aesthetics then maybe MB C class is good. Otherwise, go with a different car

Oh, god, there's a lot more to recommend a nice RWD luxury car over a Camry, the most boring of appliances on the road today... And a CPO Mercedes with an extended factory warranty is a good value, as quite a bit of the depreciation has already happened.

In terms of being fun to drive, the RWD drive E-Class beats that Camry hands down. Bonus if the E is an 8cyl model. I'd rather be in that Benz too if there was a car accident.
