DOES AAA give away free maps if your not a member? (auto, best)

My membership expired and I need a map..does AAA give away free maps if your not a member? (They're closed right now I can't ask)

What is a map?

I read on another forum a few years back that they don't give out free maps to non-members and they no longer have reciprocal agreements with other auto clubs. That said, the AAA offices are usually run by region, so there may be differences from region to region (or office to office). I would still call tomorrow, but don't get your hopes up.

Absolutely not! I didn't become a paying member for them to give away free stuff to everybody. There was a time that gas stations had free maps, but that was way back.

In the time it took you to post the question, you could have looked it up on Google Maps.

Do you mean a plain old paper can never refold it back into that nice rectangle, or one of those older AAA Trip-Tik packages?

No. Easy to understand why.

I like maps, you can see where you are and where you want to go and see the best route. Also can estimate the time it will take. Also have a sense of where your going instead of blindly following spoken direction without a clue of where you are.

Google will never replace a map. Not where I go.

And you may be able to buy a map at AAA if a non-member, but free...no.
