Since college I only buy new. Everyone else thinks they are so smart to buy someone else's car, so I let them buy it from me. I always get a good deal on both ends so no problem.

I don't tend to buy new cars, I let the first guy take the financial hit, generally. The only car I ever bought brand new was a 66 GTO tripower post car. I didn't particularly like the color (white) but I test drove it and when it went sideways through the first 3 gears, I bought it on the spot.

I've purchased or leased six brand new cars (out of the 13 cars that I've owned).

They were:

1991 Honda Civic DX Hatchback (when I was 16yrs old)
1993 Honda Civic EX 4-door (literally off the showroom floor)
1996 Honda Accord LX 4-door
2003 Acura TL Type-S (leased)
2006 Mazda3 s 5-door
2012 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring

I got very good deals on all of them and don't regret buying/leasing them new. I'm currently contemplating a replacement for the 2006 Mazda3 and I'm considering both new and used.

I took the vote literally as off the showroom floor. I bought my '88 Pontiac Grand Prix off the floor. Very pretty car, total piece of junk.
