Got to hand it to them for stepping up to the plate.
Plenty of Honda & Toyota owners wished for the same thing and didn't get it with certain transmissions & engines.

Look up the Toyota's as they were from the mid to late 90's. My kids have my old Lexus' from the list with over 300k on them with no issues since mile 1.
For all you know they did not property maintain the engines. I have a few friends who are mechanics at dealers. One replaced a engine at 30k that never had a oil change. Guy just added oil.
Not true. You'd never have a catastrophic engine failure at those mileages listed due to lack of owner maintence without a massive amount of oil sludge. They can tell when they take apart the engine if the person never changed the oil for the entire time they owned the car. On top of it, the number of engine failures happening WITH people doing routine maintenance shows bad craftsmanship/poor quality build and not lack of owner maintenance. There's a reason a recall was issued and warranties extended due to lawsuits. It costs the car maker a fortune to do that. They made an inferior product.
2014 Kia Soul and no issues in three years. I have the oil changed and haven't had to add oil in the crank case yet. For a budget car, its well built and the materials have been durable and haven't shown any wear.
