I have a 2007 Chevy Tahoe, does anyone have any ideas on how I can add leg room to the driver's seat? I found one place online that makes brackets, but they have nothing available for this model. I emailed them anyway. Does GM make extender rails? I'm open to all suggestions. Thanks.

You might be able to pull the seat out of the vehicle (unbolt from floor) entirely and detach the seat from the floor bracket and drill new holes and move the seat back on the bracket. I have done this is 4 or 5 different vehicles. You can gain 2 or 3 inches in legroom by doing this. Some are tricky to do, depending on the configuration. Careful with the spring loaded seat adjustor.

I have never understood why they put the seats in to where they will go so far forward. Many vehicles, if you slide the seat all of the way forward, there is no room for a driver. Really just need to move them back a few inches on the bracket as part of the design.

I found a seat track re-locator kit on Ebay from Rich's Custom Seats in Kingston Washington. I'm 6' 7" tall and I couldn't get enough leg-room until now. They have kits for one seat or two. This kit allowed me to get an extra 6" of leg room. It says the kits will work with 2015-17 GM, Silverado, Tahoe, Yukon, Sierra and Suburban.
