Whenever I wash my car windows I am always left with streaks. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to use?

I used windex but not newspaper. I always get streaks no matter what. Thought maybe there is a miracle cleaner that is streak free, lol.

Last summer, under duress, my wife made me wash the windows and forbade me to leave streaks. I found some easy to make solution on the internet and it worked great. I just can't remember where I found it, but a Google search should work easily enough.

BTW, the stuff worked great!

Possibly a dirty rag, or a rag with even a small amount of grease or oil, is your problem.

Good Luck!

Use newspaper and name brand window cleaner... not the Target brand crap my wife buys.

And don't wash them when there hot. Try to do it in the shade.

Like others said you may still have dirt or oils left on your window even after cleaning (clean your wiper blades as well). My trick that many people don't know is to use Bonami cleaner on your windshield. Wet your windshield with water, sprinkle a very small amount of Bonami on it and use a soft sponge to clean it. "THERE IS NO NEED TO PRESS HARD" when cleaning. Rinse the cleaner off and finish with windex. You'll be amazed how much stuff builds up on your glass. The disclaimer is do not do this if you have a coated windshield.
