There's no special car from my birth year, 1944. The 1953 Studebaker is a long time favorite. It was surpassed by the 1963 Jaguar XKE.

Very beautiful cars back then. I was never a fan of French cars but when I found out about the 135 I loved the look of the car.

The VW Caddy is not old enough, so all the way back in the 70s what's left is small hatchbacks. Maybe a Civic, Mini, or Renault 5 and have it modified for fuel injection.

With enough money to spend, there are various options for getting a ute, such as an El Camino, moving the steering wheel on an Australian ute, or modifying the body of some other car, but I have a pickup.

A Baja Bug or Jeep could be useful on the rough roads here.

87. Rough.
Cant go wrong with C10

Monte SS but the anemic 305 and slush box auto would have to be replaced with a built up 327 and 4 speed to be worth it.

There is no car made in 1953 that I would prefer over a car made today. Still, I took a look at the car models introduced in 1953 and there were some interesting ones:

Corvette--1953 was the first year.
Volvo Duett
Triumph TR2

I'd pass on that. Well sort of. I'd sell it and laugh all the way to the bank.

My Grandmother bought her first new car on Nov. 9th 1966 two months after I was born. It was a 67 Impala 4dr sedan that was fairly nicely loaded by the standards of the day. She drove it until it was totalled in a accident in 1980. So i'd want a 67 Impala.
