Just bought a car last month, my main priority was dependability. I wasn't too worried about a "fun" car, I don't care about features really, and the car I was driving before this was an old Toyota Scion with over 200k miles that just really wasn't running like she used to, so I figured any car would feel like a huge upgrade in the "fun" department lol. I ended up going with a certified pre-owned vehicle, a 2014 Chevy Cruze LT that was leased previously and had 28k miles on it. Totally worth it going used IMO, the car was well taken care of and looks/feels new, and the cost was a little over half of what it would have been compared to buying it new. And I've been having a blast driving it! I'm hoping I'll get as much use out of it as I did from the Scion, if I hit 200k again I'll be happy. I tend to take really good care of my cars, and then drive them for as long as possible, until they're no longer worth repairing.

I can buy a WRX & it will last to 300K or longer & drive it in the rain & snow & do the exact same thing.

And I can save my self like 30K or more.
