So my batteries died. 11 months old. Still under warranty. Worked fine yesterday. Went to go out today whooooah whoooah who click click click click. Not lights left on no battery drains
Then go to store had to test them. 40 minutes per battery. Result both dead. Got new ones. We'll see how long these last. I used to get Costco but I got these at a national chain because I was out of toen when the old ones quit

I assume you have a HD truck with dual batteries.

What brand?

My father replaced the AC Delco OEM batteries in his Silverado 3500HD with Sears Diehard Gold and after two years they needed to get replaced again back in February. He got the pro-rated amount and ended up trading in the truck two weeks ago.

Yeah Ford diesel. The batteries were Bosch from Pep Boys. I have Costco batteries I bought in 2013 and they work fine. These Bosch ones are not even a year old. And they weren't cheap. $150 each. I was on my way to see a buddy out at 29 Palms who came back from Iraq. I stopped to get fuel. Car died. AAA tried to jump. The only place near was Pep Boys. It was either that or chance it in the middle of the desert in 115* heat.
I had a ACDelco go bad two months later. Dealer replaced it. Died 30 days later. I talked to the service guy and he said they had a huge issue and problems.

I also found out that there are only a few battery factories in USA. So we're all buying the same battery with a different sticker.

Longest lasting batteries I've had came in my 2000 F250 PSD. I removed them when they were 9 years old and used them as spares for my camper. Since they lasted so long, I replaced them with "Ford" batteries -- I think Interstate. They didn't last 2 years, but Ford replaced them free of charge, iirc.

Yup. My folks bought a 97 F150 in December 96. It's original battery lasted until 05. It was still turning it over, but it was sluggish and was no longer taking a charge. Longest I have had a battery last was a Sears Diehard in my 78 LTD Landau. It was in the car when I bought it in 02 and when it died (suddenly without warning) it was 7.5 years old. Now I just buy the cheap $50 Wal-Mart batteries and I usually get 4 years outta them. Sometimes 5. I do keep them clean and watered.

Yeah I had a interstate in a truck that ran for 6 years. I finally took it out thinking it was bad. My buddy wanted it and he ran it in a ranger fir another three years. Sold it with that battery. Bought another interstate. Didn't last 1.5 years.

I just make it a rule to check with a load tester yearly and get ready to replace when they start showing weak. These weren't due for about 2 months

My 2007 Ranger is still on the original battery, at 72,000 miles, but today I was pricing them at Costco, since I expect it to go soon. Interstate, $88.

Defects are possible, but I would take a closer look whether your vehicle have some kind of electrical problem/drain/alternator or whether you use too much power for some reason and battery do not get charged. I have a very good experience with Exide, mid or even lower line served for 7 or 8 years without a single problem.

This. I remember one of my friends was always stating about OEM Mazda Batteries are best blah blah(Interstate)He works at a Mazda Dealer.
I had to explain to him that parts are sourced and there is only a few companies that produce them. It's just labeling for the most part.
