That's for sure and styling got much worse in every way possible!

Very hard to pick just one, but my vote would probably be for the 1968-'69 Dodge Charger. In the photo is a 1968.

I do like the styling of the mid-to-late '50s Mopars. Again, hard to pick just one. This is a 1959 Dodge Royal Lancer which shows a good example of 1950s Mopar styling.

For luxury cars, I find the styling of the Cadillac Fleetwood Seventy-Five Limousine most impressive. This is a 1973...

Actually, they still have vertical headlights & tailights and vestigal fins.
The styling of the XLR was quite radical. I'm still a fan of that "stealth fighter on the road" look.

Any of the homologated Euro rally cars from the late 80s/early 90s, but in particular:

Isn't that funny? I was just about to say an Avanti, too.

Then I took a look and I have to say they're pretty goofy looking. I guess my tastes have changed in the last fifty-plus years.

Now a Karmann Ghia. I've said it before--if they would make a modern one with the same body style it would fly off the lots.

Well, that's a matter of opinion. Cadillac's current offerings are much more distinctive than Cadillacs from back in the day. Caddies from the 50's and 60's were particularly hideous.

Styling is very subjective, but I personally think most newer cars are much better looking than anything from prior to circa 1980. With few exceptions, cars from 50's and 60's - particularly American cars - are gaudy, overdone, and tacky.

My pick would be a 1965 convertible Lincoln with the suicide doors or a white, late model RR Ghost. Anyone see a pattern here?
