With most automakers going the turbo 4 for their FWD midsize sedan, would this make you more likely to look at larger FWD sedans like the Avalon, Azera, and others that still offer V6 engines?

I am not looking for a new automobile, but I am with you about the 6 cylinder cars you are talking about. A car with a V6 that produces from 270 to 300HP coupled to a 6 or 7 speed fully automatic transmission is not only powerful enough to pass traffic with ease, but economical on fuel consumption if traveling long distances.

I know about the Toyota Avalon, Hyundai Azera (new model coming soon still with V6), the Kia version of the Azera with styling like a larger Optima, and I think the Taurus and Impala may qualify since they offer a V6 but the first three cars come standard with the V6.
One of my neighbors didn't want to get a larger sedan like an Avalon or ES350 just to get a 6 cylinder. Therefore, he upgraded to the "performance" version just to get a 6 cylinder. He wanted an A4, and got the S4 just to get the 6 cylinder. He could care less about Audi's S performance line or what they stand for.

I did just that last year, bought a new Taurus specifically because it came standard with a 6. I was tempted by the Impala but the 6 is extra. Yes, I'm old school, I still use a flip phone.
