I'm looking to buy a specific used vehicle. Searching KKB, Autotrader, Craigslist etc. in my area has proved fruitless. What I'm wondering about is if there is an app or a database where I could input my search details,location etc. and dealers or private owners who may have the car I'm after could then contact me. In other words, sellers would be searching for buyers instead of the other way around. Any thing like this out there?
I don't know of an app like that. What exactly are you looking for? Is it an enthusiast car (sports car, muscle car, truck, Jeep, etc) or a regular car with specific options or spec (minivan, 4 door sedan, etc).
If it's an enthusiast type car most makes/models have forums with classifieds or members can help you find one.
I'm actually looking for a very common car, a 2008 or 09 Accord. The problem I'm having is it has to be the right color, have the right mileage, the right this that and the other. You get the idea. What can I say, I'm extremely picky, hence the idea for an app that would let me choose a list of very detailed requirements.

The people who have those kinds of cars to sell, sell them in a day. They don't need to hunt around for buyers. Ask yourself who is more desperate. If you are the one, then you have to look.
