Corvettes would be my favorite sports car. But, I currently drive a 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat muscle car, and boy does it have muscles. Talking about a blast to drive, wow. Dodge did an amazing job with this one.
No need to say anymore to me. I have always loved Austin Healy's They are almost my all time favorite sports car design. they are just beautiful. My all time favorite is the Jaguar XKE though. My dad went to some car auction with a friend that had a dealers licence, and came home with a 1963 Jaguar XKE when I was in junior high school in 64 or 65. He loved that car, and I did too. He had it for about two years, and then suddenly sold it because he was worried about it's reliability even though it never gave him any problems. I remember being upset about it because I was till too young to be able to drive it. Even the engine bay was beautifully done.
I have had several sports cars but have been driving an S2000 for a long time now. If I bought another it may be a Boxster (had one for a time in the past). I like many for a drive but fewer I would own.
Any & every MG ever made, including the one I owned. But I also hate them...curse you, Lucas!
Ah yes, Lucas, the Prince of Darkness. I've been through a Triumph Spitfire, TR250, TR6, Datsun 280ZX (fast, but not really a sports car IMO), Miata and the Porsche Boxster S that I own today. I just love 2 seater roadsters. The "ones that got away" are the Austin Healey 3000 and the Jag XKE. Just love 'em.
I've owned several big and little Healeys. I haven't owned one in ten years. Ten boring years of not having a Healey in the garage.
But, then I remember the Lucas lighting, the clutch replacements, the constant fiddling with the carbs, the battle with rust along the bottom, the heat generated from the removable tunnel if the seals were "lacking".
The o-ring in the oil filter and never being able to find the ice pick to get it out during changes. The slight elbow dents in the aluminum cowl from some idiot (likely me) leaning over it to work on something under the hood. I could go on, but then I'd just want another of those beautiful cars. Dream on...... be thankful.......
Healey's taught me extreme love, extreme hate, and extreme love again!!!

Not only the crappy Lucas electrical but the Girling brakes and shocks sucked the big one. Been there, done that.......but....but...
I money was no object, I would take the 918 over all Italian supercars. I love a sophisticated car like this top dog. Of course there are a lot of greats out there from Germany and Italy.
