If you snooze at the wheel, you can lose. Love the Mustang also, and can't wait for the new Shelby GT500 to return, I'm sure the GT500 will be looking to reclaim it's spot at the top, picking up from where it left off in 2014. Now that they have seen the best of Dodge and Chevy, the blue oval boys will be ready.
The HP wars is getting a little ridiculous. 800hp, 900hp, 1000hp stock? The Mustang could do a lot more with less HP if they can keep the curb weight down, not likely if it's a supercharged V8, though.

I love both of these cars but they are getting more expensive with each model. $50K will get you a GT 350 without the magnetic suspension. That's close to a loaded GT so you might as well but the GT 350.
Granted they are no longer muscle cars they are TRUE sports cars that's reach German car prices.

In the end I guess if it's your money and you can afford it then buy it.

Nonsense!

Moar Powah!!!!!

The big 3 need to ditch uni body construction and go back to full frames.

Ever build a nasty small block and toss it in a old camaro, launch it and snap the windshield or rear window? I have. That's why I'm a fan of The top and convertibles, uni body subframe connectors. However still not a fan of uni body construction.

Trucks reign supreme! Especially if you want ridiculous horsepower. Just aerodynamics suck... but they'll still scoot to 100 real quick. Especially with the right gearing.

The big three need to offer a S10 size pickup with a 400hp or more V8 Nate. I would sell my C6 Vette for a factory made 450hp S10 Xtreme with the 2003 body style.

This is a great time to be a fan of this new muscle car era. I hope they don't get too sophisticated though, then they will be crossing the line into the sports car territory. People have various complaints about them, but they are muscle cars. I believe the people they appeal to don't worry about them being all sophisticated and polished. They just love them for what they are.

It would be old and ragged out. Plastic would be dried out and all that stuff. I want a new factory truck made to my specs and would pay $60k.

S10 parts are super cheap...

Who says it needs to be pretty
Just gotta go fast!

Give me an Arc welder we could even make a mount for the independent rear end. From holding the diff, to making control arm brackets and shock towers.
It would be the best handling little truck ever.

You're going to pay 60k? Okay. 2k at most for an extreme 10k at most for a wrecked vette, 48k for all new not a problem.

The bed and frame would be notched out like for air ride so the rear axles would work.

60k for new... looking at it in the wrong light... fiberglass isn't difficult to work with, resin and mat, could make quite the dash and center console. Could go crazy and make a pillars too with gauge or speaker pods. I used to make subwoofer boxes with it.
60k is doable.
