CPO Mercedes E-Class. The C-Class is better than the CLA, but is still a bargain Mercedes, though it is an actual Mercedes, not just a badge. It's not a sporty car, though, and offers performance that lags in the class. Audi has pleasing exterior lines as well as interior appointments, so I'd look at the small Audi. If it's between the two, however, I'd go with the BMW since you seem to like the way it drives, and no matter how pleasant the interior, you will be cursing the Mercedes within a month because you don't like the performance of the vehicle. That will win out, if you consider it at all, as many who buy the Mercedes do not consider it, unless they buy an AMG. It sounds like you prefer the BMW, actually, because performance will win out over the interior, or you'd be looking at a Lexus ES, one of the most non-sporting cars on the market, albeit a comfortable ride in pleasant surroundings.

I'd second the CPO E Class recommendation 100%. I bought a 14' with 22k miles just last month to help spread my mileage out between my 15' GTI. It's a great car with a ton of class to it. I've got the AMG appearance package (sport model). Mine is the E350 4Matic, V6. Granted not the V8, but still 300hp when you need it. Some really good deals on them now. I paid slightly less than half than what the car sold for new just 36 months ago.
I like the Audi 3's, but not a huge fan of their interiors on that version. Plus, it is basically the baby sedan version of the GTI. Same frame, engine, but less room inside, less functionality, and no Porsche influence. The guy who setup the 911, also was in charge of this version of the GTI, and it really shows, which is one of the reasons why it gets so much love from the automotive community. $100k influence on a $30k car. You can pick up a CPO for way less too. VW's CPO program is fantastic.
For the price of one of the cars you mentioned new, you could have two CPO I mentioned. And if the GTI isn't fast enough for you as-is (which is pretty darn fast), for around $500 you can take it to a car shop and they'll basically unlock the engine to Porsche settings, making it insanely fast and unbelievably fun to drive. It's called "APR" tune. Look at the current version of the Porsche Boxster. A 2.0 turbo 4 cylinder. Same DNA.

Drivability comes first for me, want to feel alive and to love my car on how it handles/responds.
Don't care about name or what other think, just my personal feeling.
Me too - no brand loyalties! Reliable, handles well, and a sunroof. All I care about.
That's a matter of personal opinion. The fact that the C class is worthless, not so much.
It's an opinion shared by pretty much everyone who knows anything about these brands.
You obviously don't know much about the C class, frankly. The C43 is better than comparable BMW offerings, and the C63 generally wins in comparisons with the M3/M4.
The E class outshines the 5 series, the S class has always been better than the 7,
I wouldn't say always. Having spent considerable time in both, the E38 7 series Sport was much more dynamic handler than even the AMG S class (which might have been more powerful, but that's about it). I voted with my wallet and went with the 740i M Sport. Feels much more overall athletic than the equivalent S class. And in my eyes, looks worlds better than the S class.
Now, the '80s Mercedes are a different story. The 560 SEC is my favorite of that era and I wouldn't mind owning one.
Why are they euthanizing that Gator, when no humans in their right mind should have been there.
Was it advocating for a Buick instead?
