We had several posts on this and that on Toyota hybrids.

I'll post this:

We have one with 265,000 miles. Still on the original batteries and brakes. It has had some issues though. We had the drivers front hub bearing replaced around 160,000 miles and new radiator fans around 180,000 miles. From the sounds of it, that bearing is going bad again so, I may need to have that replaced again. Also, just recently the drivers power window has become slow. I'm not sure if the 12v battery is finally giving up the ghost or if the window motor is failing. Since the 12v battery is original, I may replace that soon just because.

The only major repair was fairly recent. At 244,000 miles we had to have Toyota replace the AC evaporator to the tune of $1300. It's a fairly large job because most of the dash has to come out of the car. They also did the dash recall at that time.

Hello Everyone,

This is my first post. I bought a 2007 TCH in '09 with about 27K miles. Now I am up to about 180K miles, and I can say this is probably the best car I ever bought. Some minor gripes with interior plastic, but I have literally done about nothing but change oil and filters. I have worn the seat out in one place and learned how to do an effective, if ugly repair. I'm not an extreme hyper miler. I typically see about 36-39 MPG on the gauge at every fill up (actual is about 1 MPG less) with occasional 40-42.
- original starting battery
- original brakes (>1/2 pad left)!
- 3rd set of tires still strong
- engine doesn't burn oil

I'm thinking about driving it another couple of years or "selling" it to one of my sons.
