Worked fine until this morning. Left the grocery store, turned it on and none of the 5 pre-set AM stations played. Static only. 4 of 5 of the FM stations played weakly. One didn't play at all.

No electronic devices were plugged in anywhere. AM/FM antenna on roof (2016 Colorado) not obstructed in any way and there's no sign of vandalism to it while I was in the store. All radios in the house work OK ruling out any interference from space or whatever.

Any ideas?

Maybe the antenna cable came loose from the back of the head unit?

The antenna somehow disconnected is my guess. Probably from the back of the unit somehow.

I wouldn't waste my time by making a trip to the dealer without checking the cable myself first. lol I have better things to do than sit at the dealership for them to tell me it was the cable lol

I would take it to the dealer if I didn't find a cable loose or pulled out though after I checked.

It's a 2016, yes? Honestly, take it to the dealer. I may be wrong but I'd bet you'd have to drop the dash.

Research how to get behind that head unit. It may involve unsnapping the bezel(big plastic piece with AC vents in it) from the center stack. Once that is off, you may either 1, have space to reach behind the radio to find the antenna coax, or 2, see the screws or bolts holding the radio in place.

Once you have the set pulled out, you can see if the FM coax is plugged in back or needs to be reinserted. It'a about as thick as the black RF cable between a TV and VCR. Can't imagine what sort of forces might be required for an antenna lead to slip out the back of a car radio - most such connections are very tight.

By the way: How is the AM?

If you don't know what you are doing you can crack the plastic around the radio let dealer do it it's under warranty.
