In a more constructive vein, ask the local authorities for another stop sign; cite the danger.
We had a street that had 2 of those T intersections. The city has just now installed the 3rd sign.
Before, same thing would happen. Obviously the "honkers" never saw (or understood) the sign that said "Oncoming traffic does not stop", and/or were new to the street
You're correct. The lady behind you is wrong. Better to endure her stupidity than to cause a wreck....but yeah, the city should install a third stop sign for that intersection.

I would personally take a veeeeeeeeery long time getting moving after she blew her horn at me. I would be looking left and right to make sure nothing was coming, and you know, that takes a loooooong time. Gotta be safe, ya know.
Put your car in park, run back (carefully watching for cars) and ask her if she needs you to call 911. Most places it is illegal to use a horn except for emergencies or to avoid an accident. Since you are avoiding causing an accident, she is obviously having an emergency and needs you to call for police or ambulance. Get back there and ask her which one- that lady could be dying yu do not want to ask 911 for a policeman if she needs an ambulance or vice versa.
No. The best advice is to ignore the other driver. You have no idea what the other driver might do. Why do you think cops always have a cautious approach when encountering an unknown situation? It it not worth the risk to your life.
1. Turning right on a red that has a LARGE sign that says no right turn on red
2. Turning right when their are pedestrians in the crosswalk
Worse though is when the no turn on red sign says only between 7-9 am and 2-4 pm (aka general school times when more people and kids are out because the one I'm thinking of is right by a school); and it's say 6 pm and the idiot in front of you won't turn on red even when you honk kind of to encourage them.
In NJ you can turn on red if there's no sign at all or one telling you can during only certain hours. So many times people won't go when there's no sign, but that means you CAN. I think people all around need to learn the rules of the road or their local areas better because it can be frustrating sharing the road with people who can't even follow a basic sign.
