That green glassed tower is the Chrysler Headquarters at the Chrysler Technical Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
An ode to Chrysler's executive officers during the 1990's. The top floor contains an atrium that runs east/west along the length of the floor, allowing light to flood through in the afternoons, with offices along both sides for people who have the word 'senior executive' or 'chief' in their job title. I hear that it's quite nice - the Germans seemed to really like it when they bought Chrysler. Sergio Marchionne, the Fiat Chrysler CEO chose not to have an office there, found it too far away from the Tech Center.
I once went inside the CTC for a meeting. It has all the warmth of a 1990's mega shopping mall, but with security tighter than that at an international airport.
And Chrysler changes the advertising on the outside of the HQ tower every two or three months. The current advert is probably one of the better ones its put up there.
And the executive elevator had an ash tray that was used by Lee for his Cigar.
But I believe GM's world headquarters is better looking, even if it was conceived and financed by Ford.
Correct Henry Ford ll helped bring the Renaissance Center to life and GM bought it in 1996 and moved into it leaving the GM HQ in Detroit. In 2004 GM completed a $500 million renovation of the Renaissance Center now ts called GM headquarters thus the GM logo on he building. I've been there it's got a hotel in the central tower that is managed by Marriott International witch s nice for the visiting executives who have business with GM.
