Suburbans are cheaper and usually have better rebates/incentives VS the Yukon models. Yukon's have more standard option groups, So base MSRP is usually higher on those.

Suburban/Yukon XL gets the standard 5.3 V8 around in all trims. IIRC the yukon xl denali has the 6.2 V8 option, but then you're talking about a $75-80K suv

From what I have researched and seen they get around 20-25 MPG HWY depending on traffic and your speed

Reliability:

I sold them new few years ago and NEVER had one come back for any issues and trust me my boss made sure I kept an eye on that

BTW, I own a '01 Suburban 5.3 Vortec with 245K miles on original engine and trans and NEVER a issue just basic stuff, brakes, shocks battery and alternator

So that speaks for itself on reliability of the full size GM suv models
I'm glad you had good luck with yours. I really wish I could say the same as that would solve some of my vehicle problems. I bought a loaded K2500HD Suburban with the 8.1 new in 2004. It was such a lemon I sold it less than 2 years later. Scared me away from any GM product since then.
