Need to pick up a used car with a trunk that can hold 4 sets of golf clubs. A RWD Crown Vic would be tough here in snowy PA. I want the clubs etc out of sight so a mini van is off the list also. Wish my Dads Electra 225 was still around. Thoughts?

Ford 500 or Taurus derivative. 2004-09 Freestyle then Taurus X hatch might be ideal, I think AWD. Same passenger/cargo volume as a Panther-class but in a smaller-taller FW drive package. Should have fleets of them still around.
How about a Buick Lesabre or Park Ave.? Either should be big enough. If you look well enough you can probably find one with less than 100K, 10 years old, one owner in the $4K range.... Find one of the rare supercharged models and put the GSX kit on it. LOL

If the cover will clear four bags of clubs laid flat. I've personally experienced bags I could not get my arms around. Dude must've had two sets of clubs in that ba$tard!
Lincoln Towne Car. My daughter drove one for years. It did fine in snow with Blizzacks. Even on all seasons it did ok most of the time with weight in the trunk. However the snow tires made all the difference in the world. It is a heavy car, so other than stopping, it tends to do well in snow.
4 sets of golf clubs with all seats in place? That's a tall order indeed even if you did go to SUV. Unless it's just the clubs thrown in there haphazardly without bags heh.
Fwiw, my wife's 2010 Hyundai Tucson held four sets, though packing them req'd some thought, and the drivers were laid on top...
The cargo cover was not used for that, or anytime. Not sure of concern over someone peering into a tinted rear hatch, looking at clubs.
Her Tuck was FWD, but they have AWD available in that and subsequent years. Not pumping the car brand; just giving opin and info on a non-big car that can hold four sets, and might be of interest as a smaller SUV like car and goes in snow, (with snow tires.)

I've fit 9 sets of golf clubs in my '14 Taurus....seriously. 5 adults in the cabin too. They fit straight in down the centerline of the car unless someone has an extra long driver.
This article says it will fit 10. I didn't have a 10th to try so it's possible it could take 10.
But 4 sets of clubs and 4 adults is easy to do. They come AWD although my FWD car does quite well in the snow with decent all-seasons. Get a SHO or an Ecoboost Lincoln MKS (same chassis) if you want something with some pep. The lower trim models tend to be cheap because they don't sell very well to begin with.
