I hope the image appears. Please let me know.

2003 Chevy Silverado. 213,000 miles on it but still runs great. I was able to limp home after the crash. It appears the frame is not bent but the bottom of the door frame and roof are smashed in.

I also have some steering issues and it sort of "bounces" if I go above 20mph.
Is it worth towing to an auto body repair shop or does it appear to be totaled?

Can it be fixed? Yes. Will it cost more than the truck is worth? Yes. It's a total.

I have to concur that it's totaled. Sorry.

Ack -- too early in the morning. Thought I was still on my Facebook Newsfeed, and being admonished by some radical nutjob to go out and punish a tree.

ouch, sorry... but that one's not worth fixing.

If you're a DIYer, find a similar model with a ragged engine and do an engine swap.

Probably all of the above, unless you have junk yard nearby, and able to get the parts cheap.

Glad you're ok!
Definitely totaled, no question about it.

We had a much newer one totaled because insurance estimator said frame was bent and it is unsafe to fix.

No I think that tree is beyond repair. It will probably die.

A 2003 with that many miles can't be worth more than $5k, and depending upon options and condition, could even be half that. Even without frame damage (which it probably has), you only have a few grand to play with before it is a total, and it is definitely more than that.

Glad you are ok to ask us about it, sorry you'll be shopping for a replacement.
