There is nothing wrong and good advantages to left foot braking in a car with auto transmission as was said by GregW- I sometimes do it myself especially if I am in a narrow lane with poor visibility.
The left foot can be positioned above but not on the brake and if required can be applied quicker, ensuring the foot is taken off the gas at the same time!
The first time I tried left foot braking on an auto I nearly went through the windscreen as it had been used to depressing a clutch on a stickshift, but it is not an issue now.
But going back to the original question, the issue of left or right leg dominance shouldn't really come into it.
Get a car with an automatic transmission and use the right foot on the acellerator and the left on the brake. Your reaction time will be reduced and you will find learning to drive much easier. Modern automatic transmissions are as efficient as standards and, as you learn how to drive with them, almost as much fun as a standard in the twisties. In stop and go traffice the automagic wins every time.
Actually I was going to say the opposite - you're a perfect candidate for a manual. Embrace the ability to control your car with all four limbs. Plus I bet if you were to enroll in the Tim O'Neal rally driving school, you'd be top shoe in the left foot braking sections (of which they place an extremely high emphasis on).
Cliff Notes: be glad you are left footed. Not that many people can use it in a car anymore
I am getting my driving license soon. I learned that people usually drive with their right foot only.
However, I am right handed, but LEFT footed. My right foot does not response as fast as my left....
I don't wanna crash or anything...so what can I do to strengthen my non-dominant right foot?
Please give me some advice. Thnx.
When you say your right foot does not respond fast, what you mean? is it a lame foot, not 100% control? can you walk, run etc. Sounds odd.
Learn to drive with your right foot. Old women do it, I think you can too.
Start out slow, give yourself space between cars and you can pratice getting comfortable with operating the vehicle.
