All i could think of before reading the thread was the new Subaru something about love slogan. And Volvo - "Boxy but Good," but that is not a real slogan.
The 1980s trans am with the giant bird decal on the hood had some sort of John Travolta/Disco slogan. (1970s?).
One I also sort of remember was an audi or infiniti or something where the commercial never told you what car was being advertised and never showed enough of the car to make out what it was.
Volkswagen had some of the catchiest commercials back then. Very funny and to the point.
I like the new Dodge commercial sayings........Domestic, not domesticated ! Sure sums up the Demon, for sure !
I am reminded of "Forged IN Detroit" or whatever it was. Then they realized FCA no longer had any facility actually in Detroit, so they opened a small office downtown, just for the slogan.
In Subaru's effort to market to Lesbians, they had double meaning slogans like "Get out and Stay Out" "Its not a choice its the way were built" or "Entirely Comfortable with its Orientation" or a license plate "Xena LVR"
It was funny because it was subtle and not at the same time.

You are wrong they build the Grand Cherokee in Detroit at their Jefferson assembly plant
2101 Conner St, Detroit, MI 48215 and engines at their Mack Ave engine plant.
Jefferson North Assembly Plant (JNAP) is a Chrysler automobile assembly factory in Detroit, Michigan. Located on East Jefferson Avenue 6 mi (9.6 km) from downtown, near Grosse Pointe Park, the factory opened in 1991 as a major commitment to the downtown Detroit area by Chrysler, and was expanded in 1999, bringing its area to 2,700,000 sq ft (250,000 m2) and expanded again in 2011, bringing its total to 3,000,000 sq ft (280,000 m2). Its first product was the Jeep Grand Cherokee from the start, which it continues to produce to this day. It uses the original site of the Hudson Motor Company location that was originally built during the 1940s as a storage lot for newly manufactured vehicles to the east of the facility.
Mack Avenue Engine Complex
Mack Avenue Engine Complex is a 110-acre (45 ha) Chrysler automobile factory in Detroit, Michigan.
History Edit
The original factory ("Old Mack") was originally built in 1916 by the Michigan Stamping Company. When Michigan Stamping was sold to Briggs Manufacturing Company in 1920, Briggs made bodies there for Plymouth, Ford, and others. Chrysler Corporation bought Mack Avenue and 11 other plants from Briggs in 1953, and continued to use it as a stamping plant for the nearby Dodge Main factory, Lynch Road Assembly, and Jefferson Avenue Assembly plants.
In 1979 a financially hurting Chrysler closed the now outdated factory and all but abandoned the site, which became derelict, overgrown, and a toxic brownfield. The city of Detroit bought it in 1982, but was unable to find a purchaser or afford environmental remediation for the site, and returned it to Chrysler. In 1990 Chrysler began cleanup and demolition of the old plant, and built a new factory on the site ("New Mack"). [1]
The factory floor space covers 1,400,000 square feet (130,000 m2).[2] It was the original production site for the Dodge Viper, from 1992 through 1995 when the Viper moved to Conner Avenue Assembly. It was converted into an engine plant in 1998, with the additional 650,000 square feet (60,000 m2) of "Mack Engine II" added in 1999.[2] The total employees of both factories are about 1,300, which are represented by UAW local 51.[2] On April 9, 2013 Mack Engine I produced the last PowerTech 4.7 L V8 engine and is to switch to Pentastar V6 production. To switch to Pentastar production, 197 million dollars will be invested in Mack Engine I and up to 250 jobs are to be added.[3]
"It's not how fast you go, but how well you go fast." - VW 1990's. I think still true today.
"The best, or nothing." Current Mercedes Benz. I own a current MB. They should've stuck with "nothing" when designing the transmissions.
