I know they don't install used tires or aftermarket parts for liability & profit reasons, but would this also include wheels. How come they do install tires purchased from TireRack.com though?
Their whole business is mounting tires onto wheels. Well, I guess they do other stuff too, but if you're buying tires from them, and you have wheels, I'm pretty sure they will mount those tires on those wheels and install them onto your vehicle, if that's what you want, as long as you have the money to pay for those services.
I have heard of tire shops not wanting to install non-OEM tire sizes onto vehicles before, for supposed liability reasons, so I'm not sure if that might be an issue or not.
Now, if you're talking about a Firestone-branded service center, only the specific shop you plan to take it to can tell you that for sure. Most of them are independent franchises so their policies will vary from one location to the next.
Just call around shops in your area and get some quotes. Most would be cheaper than Firestone I'm thinking.
