I have power seats and haven't used them in years. Once you get in and adjust you never touch it again. Only useful if you have multiple drivers using the same car all the time. IMO.

In Lafayette, sticker is $28K, leftover '17 model for $21,998. You can find them cheaper if you want fewer toys, or are willing to trek to Houston or Dallas. You can get the lower trim levels in both cars for well under $20K. All brand new.
You can buy a base in Vegas for $12,995. You can get a Cherokee for $15995. Both in my opinion are junk

Look for a used Pacifica. (not the new van version.)My sister says hers is like sitting in a comfy recliner with a smooth ride.
A lot of this newer vehicles have a tight kind of choppy ride. I guess everyone wants some kind of race car. Maybe a longer wheelbase or air suspension would be something to think about. Large old cars had a smooth ride.

Hyundai Tucson 2018 SEL. Has the 8 way adjustable power driver seat with power lumbar support. Hyundai offering cash back, long warranty. Dealer may offer a substantial discount if you hold his feet to the fire by pricing it with all the dealers around. And they're giving you a $40 gift card to amazon for test driving it.

I agree with you on this. But people who have back and neck problems often need to tweak the adjustments, depending upon where is bothering them.

I think she likes to watch you tap dance.

She lists impossible criteria and demands you meet them. So, don't tell her no. Tell her when she finds it, you'll be happy to buy it for her. And hand her the laptop.

I wouldn’t buy a new dodge to save my life.

The Sorento starts at 16k

Exactly! The main reason for her choosing the Sebring was the adjustable lumbar support went directly into the deep curve of her spine thus releasing some of her pressure and pain. She needs more than height adjustment. She also needs angle of seat and lumbar. If we could afford it we’d get the Lincoln Continental just for the seats.

She is as picky about her vehicle as she is about ordering from Subway. We visited a Toyota dealership and the RAV4 lowest window sticker price was about $24,000. The one smaller than the RAV4 wasn’t to her liking. The Honda CRV wasn’t much cheaper. She doesn’t want Chevy but she’d consider Ram/Jeep. She’d look at Hyundai/Kia but not the Soul. I asked her and she wouldn’t even look at the midsize sedans or smaller. I’m wondering if her only option is a long term loan with low monthly payments. What’s the longest (years) loan for a new vehicle? It’s like she has champagne taste on a beer budget. She currently drives a 2007 Chrysler Sebring sedan with 2.4L 4 cylinder and doesn’t want to go down in size even though I told her today’s compact and midsize sedans are far better in quality than what she’s driving now. She stands only 4 feet 10 inches tall. We don’t have kids and only occasionally have one additional person, her sister. We live in Lafayette Louisiana. She lives in constant pain from her spine and arthritis so I’m not keen on telling her no.

The window sticker price is not the price. You have to negotiate for the price you want. It would help if you put down at least $1000 down payment. I am very sure if you speak to the salesman they will accept 22,000 offer to purchase probably even less. Why not do some negotiating. Start at 19,000 and let them say no. They make a comeback at 22,000 but dont quit yet. Offer your comeback at 20,000. The dealer ups it to a deal for 20,500. and you accept.

Generally the longest car loan is 4 years.

They are offering big rebates on the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. A base model is well under $22k with incentives. If she insists on a power driver's seat, you'd have to add the Value Package, which is $1900 retail. You may be able to negotiate the price with the value package down to $22k. They are redesigning the SUV for 2019, thus the large incentives.

A new Kia Sorrento is not $16k...

My sister paid $23k (plus T+L) for her Honda CR-V LX.
