one interesting thing about this article is the alibaba.com suggestion where you can pretty much put in any product, not just car stuff, and get free samples from a boatload of companies, anyone ever try getting free stuff from alibaba.com?

No. When you accept those offers they sell your contact information to about a million mailing lists companies. No amount of free samples of crap that you can buy cheap is worth that headache.

I would not trust a Chinese company to have my address , credit card or email even for free stuff
