I keep my key fob in my pocket. I also own several older cars with keyed ignitions, I've never once forgotten to turn off my keyless vehicles. Occasionally when I drive my keyed vehicles, I'll press the brake and go looking for the start button, but that's it.
That’s because people are stupid if they can’t here the engine running after they get out of the car in a inclosed garage then they should have their license taken away because they are clueless when it comes to having common sense.
Wow, I'm surprised. I thought new cars greatly reduced the amount of carbon monoxide released. I actually asked about this. I've got a keyless vehicle (hate electronics but I needed a cheaper car with lumbar support).
Thanks for the enlightenment. While for the past four years since buying it, we parked it outside, in the new house, it goes in the garage. I'm super conscious of turning the vehicle off. Lights off on dashboard, check. Doors obviously closed because lights off on dashboard, check. No beeping indicating something isn't right, check. Lights are on when I walk away but I hate electronics so I wait until the lights go off, check.
But again, this is important enough for me to pass it on so super check.
I was living in a rental house with no garage door opener when I had my Kia Forte5. So I would back out. Get out, close the garage, then exit through front door. The tone warning about the engine running was so loud and high pitched I was worried it would wake the neighbors, so I disabled it.
My car beeps if I move away from it and forget to turn it off. Took me awhile to get used to that. Honda CR-V. but it doesn't have a windshield wiper fluid idiot light. I'm still pissed about that.

Uh. Had a 2014 and now 2017 Mercedes and it absolutely makes all sorts of bing bong noises if the fob departs the car with it still on (sometimes I park in my carport and run into the house to get something).
My 2012 Dodge also makes quite a racket when the key leaves the running vehicle.
So I question the validity of this list.
My last 3 cars were manuals with keyless ignition, ain’t got no park.
So you leave 'em in gear .. running?
Or in neutral???
Somehow I don't think it's even possible to screw up in a manual, yeah?
