Nope. I used to shift into neutral when I drove a beater that wanted to die at slow idle however.

I only ever shift into neutral when I accidentally do it while shifting into it after going out of reverse, or at the car wash.

You're going to get pushed more if you are in Neutral with your foot off the brake, because there is nothing stopping the forward motion.

I shift in neutral all the time, but I have manual transmission. Some clutches have a hydraulic system that can wear over time and if you don't keep the clutch depressed it is actually easier on the system. Now in an automatic I don't do that because I feel reengaging is harder on the transmission than to simply leave it alone.

If holding the clutch in on a car is to much then get an automatic, try holding the clutch in on a semi then you would have something to complain about.

It's not that it's that bad, but why put wear on your clutch for no reason? Exception was a GMC S15 my dad used to own. That had to be one of the last cars with an actual clutch cable. It was heavier than on my old GSX with a heavy aftermarket clutch.
