I also think gas mileage would increase considering it's a lighter material and plastic cars would also require probably less fuel anyways...

What do you think? Should cars try going all-plastic?
Plastic cars that top out at 20 mph would be less fatal in an accident.

I drive a small sport car, it’s all about defensive driving. It over compensates for the drivers around you

Using less fuel is like a euphemism. Of course they're lighter but they're also junk. Nothing is done to help the consumer. It continues to be about big businesses. If I'm hit or visa-versa, I can't pull out the dent. At this point, it seems all that's needed is some sturdy sort of plaster. Body shops will make the money on plastic cars and they are just that.

Example: ethanol is a myth. It reduces mileage (so I don't care lighter may increase mileage, ethanol wipes that out. It actually costs more to produce than gasoline from oil. It may help farmers dump their corn.

Yes, but at highway speeds, even a lower mass vehicle can be very lethal. The human body does not react well to abrupt impacts.

True. I’ll take a school bus over a sport bike in an accident.

Seems to me that Corvette was one of them. Also, a Turkish car called Anadol.

The old East German Trabant was made of fiberglass.

I think a weeble wobble car is the answer!

They float, they twirl, they always land upside right.

That's my idea..and a fine one at that
