Does leaving hydraulic jacks outdoors harm them? (driver, weather, worth)

I use them pretty often so I like to leave them outdoors most of the time. Wondering if the temperature fluctuation and/or direct sunlight is significatly damaging.

I doubt the temperature changes or sunlight bother them, but getting them in out of what little rain you get in CO is worth doing, IMHO.



Better if they are mostly on pavement, rather than sitting out on dirt or gravel.



Pick up your toys and put them away properly when you are done playing - still holds.

When I was a wrecker driver in the 70’s i left our 6 ton floor jack outside all the time and I had a smaller 3 ton floor jack on the wrecker all the time in all sorts of weather didn’t hurt them at all. They are made to take a beating on all kind of ground.
