Hello,

Priceline ended it's express deals on rental cars early this year. Does anyone know any alternatives to it? Based on my research, that was the cheapest rental car providing option for me. Other sites such as hotwire, rentalcars.com or even costco charges were higher than that.

My car is in service and it could take them upto 2 weeks to fix it. My car insurance doesn't cover rental car, and when I look for rental cars around my area for those 2 weeks, I am getting a cost of $450 just for the car. Since my credit card covers the car insurance, I won't be getting the insurance, but still $450 for 11 days looks high to me.

Does anyone know of any other option?

1. Google "best car rental deals".
2. Some areas have 'rent a junk" outfits. Used cars from private parties but do you care?
If it was not at your fault, make sure your insurance reimburses you after it settled.

There are longer "lease" terms but you have to ask for it. I used Budget. They are also not listed online. Ask the desk.

For longer term rentals, check with a car dealer.

For SHORT term... Enterprise $9.95 or Car-Share programs.

You could try turo, if it's available in your area. Sometime you can get something cheap.
