Interesting video that mirrors what people have told me. I see a lot of these yummy mummy minivans hear in Seattle that people purchase just because they have the 3 pointed star on the grill
Wow, the Metris does seem to be the worst minivan. But it's not a minivan, it's a commercial van. Without seats it has a big rectangular space and can tow a lot since it's RWD. It's meant for work and they probably figured they might as well offer the passenger version
Well Mercedes Benz is a luxury automaker so would you think a E class is overpriced just because you can get a Camry or a Accord for less and they are similar in size
Obviously you haven’t been to Europe to notice that Mercedes is the Chevy of the region. There, you notice the taxis are entry level Mercedes with absolutely no cachet about the marque that it possesses here. Similarly with their truck line, which despite their high cost do not represent a “luxury” line.
If I were to buy a cargo van, it would be one that is tall enough room for me to walk in the cargo area. I could easily modify it to use as a small RV. Regular size vans like those shown on this thread don't do much for me. The Sprinter High Roof would be a good one, or a Ram High Roof. The Sprinter High Roof with dusty a few options would cost around $50,000.

I still haven't gotten over the high roof look. It looks "weird." Does it clear overpasses and other obstructions?

Of course they do. The height of the high roof Sprinter 3500 is just under 111" which is under 10'. It won't fit in a standard garage but it'll clear the vast majority of the overpasses out there.

The roof isn't too high, just around 6' on some and taller on some others, which would be perfect for me since i am a little shorter than that. It means that I can turn it into a small RV. I don't like the very high roof ones with narrow wheelbase. A small RV like that costs twice as much. I have seen some that cost around $100,000. but comfortable
The idea of driving a high roof van is that there is room for a person to stand or walk inside of it. Such vans can be turned into a small but comfortable traveling workplace or shop, RV, and so on (the tall UPS vans, for example). To reach tools and other things inside the low-roof work vans one has to bend over to avoid smacking one's head on the roof.
Low roof vans are OK as passenger vehicles, however.
