They had a big show with one of each mustang for every year. There were helicopters flying overhead. they made a pageant of it, good for them. It is a remarkable accomplishment. I wonder how many Mustangs are still on the road?
I watched some of the footage of their celebration. Pretty cool. I like how they had the "first" Mustang (a wimbleton white convertible with v8, parked next to the 10,000,000 mustang which was also painted wimbleton white.
I also like how they had a parade of Mustangs in white every year had one represented. Some pretty cool cars in that parade.
The irony is that it hasn't been confirmed that the "first" mustang is actually the first. Sure it's serial number 100001, but there have been a few disputed claims that it wasn't the first one down the assembly line.

I wonder where mine falls into production sequence? 7,500,000? who knows.
It’s been said Lee Iacocca has on of the first mustangs in his garage he bought for his wife Marry and the front license plate has her name on it after all lee Iacocca is the father of the Mustang.
