And, 450 HP out of a turbo 4 cylinder would be even less parts!

A reasonable comparison might be NA 4 banger to Turbo 4 banger, NA 6 banger to Turbo 6 banger, etc.

I really didn't want to sit down and count all the parts!

Well, the Ford F-150 now has a 450hp 3.5 liter turbo Ecoboost 6 that makes considerably more power than the F-150’s V-8; that’s why I was thinking that way.

I had a 2013 F-150 with the 360hp 3.5 turbo 6 and it was a towing monster, pulled my KZ toy hauler over Mont Eagle and up Fancy Gap no sweat, keeping up with traffic 65mph, left lane. And at low RPMs too. I don’t know where these fellas get the idea these turbo engines are screaming, IME they have more power at low turns than comparable NA engines. This was also true of my 1 liter, 3 cylinder turbo Fiesta.

Regards

Turbo is nice, but I'd rather be blown.

In general, I like turbos but there are vehicles with engines that don't need one so it depends what you want. Current turbo engines are delivering power and decent economy. I do prefer a supercharger over a turbo due to the sound and instantaneous nature of the power. I have a Charger hellcat with the supercharger and prefer that power delivery (and sound) over the BMW turbo I had which always makes you wait a split second before it kicks in and then bam hits you with torque but then runs out when you get into the upper ranges.

Believe it or not.........
Huh? Fuel doesn't line the cylinder walls, oil does.

There are normally-aspirated diesels being made, but they cannot be sold in any country with significant pollution controls. And with the reduced market for such engines, there shouldn't be any more new ones after the near future.

I don’t know of any diesel that isn't a turbo anymore. I’ve connected big Cat generators and they are turbocharged

I’ll take a smooth, high revving N/A motor all day over a turbo for reliability purposes. Especially these new tiny 4cyl turbo engines that are constantly under stress.

Put brand bias aside and ask yourself this for an example.

Would you rather have a Yukon Denali with the small block 6.2 L, 420hp 460lb/ft torque

or

An Expedition Limited w/ 3.5L Ecoboost, 400hp, 480lb/ft?

Me personally, I'd take the V8 all day long, every single day. The sound alone would sell me, but more so I'll take a tried and true rumbly under-stressed big V8 over a turbo V6 no questions asked.

That and also, start up said TT Ecoboost motor and it sounds like a baby sneezing.
