Wife is looking for a smaller SUV. She is very short, let's call her petite. Vehicles with a center console that serves as an arm rest don't work for her. She moves the seat so far forward and with the console staying fixed she has no where to rest her elbow. Looking for a vehicle with a seat attached arm rest that will move with the seat as she takes it forward. Any suggestions?

I believe the new Nissan Kicks small SUV has an arm rest attached to drivers seat and all of the Buick Encores have a drivers seat armrest.

The Subaru Forester has (had on their 2014s - 2018s) an armrest top that slid forward and backwards that you could have just based on your seat position. the forest has been redesigned for 2019, so I'm not sure that feature still exists, although I would think it would..

Also Lexus and other higher-end models have center console top pads that adjust both vertically and forward/backwards

Pretty sure the Encore has an arm rest on the seat.

Encore is the new grandpa car. Easy to get in and out of, not bad legroom in the front seat. Inexpensive.

Honda SUV's lost them for awhile, but I think they are back in the past two or three years.

I know my wife loves them and was happy to find one on a new Honda Pilot.

I have an Odyssey with them, but I question their purpose in either front seat. If you drive with your arms resting on something, you probably don't have safe control of the car.

I am yet to see and armrest that is actually functional. They are too narrow, forearm slides off them. Useless.

On the other hand, console rests are more than relaxing on some models. Also, quite a few have top that slides forward, expanding the useful support area.

Whatever you do, let her take it for an hour drive. Quick jolt NEVER gives good feedback.
